"Before high school, school wasn't a priority to me. I felt like education wasn't something I needed because everyone in my family has survived without it. But what I didn't see were the struggles. I never understood why we couldn't live in a nice house, why my dad couldn't go to the doctor, and why we couldn't afford the things we needed. I want to have a good job so that when I have kids I can enroll them in schools where all they have to worry about is learning."

From Downtown San Francisco:
- Turn west onto PINE ST.
- Turn right onto FRANKLIN ST.
- Turn left onto LOMBARD ST. Stay in left lane.
- As roadway turns right towards Golden Gate Bridge approach, go straight on LOMBARD from left turn lane.
- Two blocks later, cross LYON ST. and proceed through gate into the Presidio.
- Proceed two blocks on Lombard to second stop sign. Bear right through stop sign onto PRESIDIO BLVD.
- Proceed though first stop sign at Letterman. At this point, the street name changes to LINCOLN BLVD.
- Proceed on Lincoln Blvd until you pass the post office on your right.
- As Lincoln Blvd forks at MONTGOMERY ST, continue straight (do not veer right). Meritus College Fund is in the small two- story building immediately in front of you, closest to the freeway, and has a PACIFIC UNION sign out front. Meritus is on the second floor, directly to the left.
- Park in any available space in the parking lot to your left.
From south of San Francisco:
- Take US-101 north towards San Francisco.
- Stay in left lane as you approach the city; follow signs to Golden Gate Bridge.
- Take the DUBOCE AVE/MISSION ST exit. 0.1 miles.
- Turn RIGHT onto MISSION ST. 0.2 miles.
- Turn SLIGHT LEFT onto SOUTH VAN NESS AVE.
- Proceed north on VAN NESS AVE. 2.0 miles to LOMBARD ST.
- Repeat steps 3 – 8 for Downtown SF directions above.
From east of San Francisco:
- Take SF BAY BRIDGE into San Francisco.
- Follow signs to Golden Gate Bridge.
- Repeat steps 2-6 in south of San Francisco directions above.
From Marin County:
- Take any US-101 SOUTH ramp towards SAN FRANCISCO.
- Cross GOLDEN GATE Bridge.
- Stay to the left; follow signs to San Francisco, Marina District; LOMBARD ST.
- Bear right following LOMBARD ST. (not Marina Blvd.)
- Stay to the right, slow down, and watch for sign PRESIDIO immediately past buildings next to highway.
- Take PRESIDO exit; make an immediate right-hand, hairpin turn onto GORGAS AVE.
- Proceed to stop sign; turn left onto HALLECK ST. (Gorgas veers left to parallel HWY 101. If you go under the freeway, you have turned off Gorgas)
- Proceed on HALLECK ST. to LINCOLD BLVD and turn right.
- Proceed West on Lincoln Blvd until you pass the post office, and stay to the left until Lincoln Blvd meets MONTGOMERY ST. Park in any available space in the parking lot to your left. Meritus College Fund is in the PACIFIC UNION building on the second floor, directly to the left.
Bus Access:
- Take the #43 into the Presidio and get off at the Lucas Arts Center at Lincoln Blvd and Lombard Street.
- Walk down Lincoln Blvd until you pass the fire station and then the post office on your right.
- As Lincoln Blvd forks at MONTGOMERY ST, continue straight (do not veer right).
